Brant Wiwi suffered serious injuries following a high speed crash at Thunderhill Raceway Park during AFM practice. While riding his GSX-R 1000, those who witnessed the crash speculate that it appears his throttle stuck open which eventually sent him off the track at over 150mph. He then impacted either a tire wall or a berm. As details are sketchy, one thing is certain, Brant is seriously injured and his recovery will take a long time. He suffered 11 broken vertebrae, four broken ribs, four breaks in his right hand, a punctured right lung, and damaged the ligaments in his left leg beyond repair.
