World Superbike returns to the USA this weekend. Preview WSBK Utah Here!

This weekends race will be taking place in Tooele, UT, just outside of Salt Lake City. This will be round 7 of the World Superbike Series, and currently their only stop in the United States. Now known as one of the Premiere tracks in the US, Miller Motorsports Park, at just over 3 miles long in WSBK configuration, will see massively high speeds, technical racing, and some amazing passes on this pristine track that is only a few years old.

Currently, Leon Haslam leads in the points, just barely edging out Max Biaggi by 15 points. At the half way point of the season, championship is really up for grabs. This weekend may be a turning point for a handful of riders who are fighting for the championship. With Rea, a distant, but reachable 66 points away from Biaggi and Haslam. Keep in mind, Rea was on the podium last season at miller.

With the American, Ben Spies now racing MotoGP, this weekend is really up for grabs. Ben did the double last season, with Checa doing the double in '08, so a Double Win for any of the riders could really change up the championship point standings. One rider to keep in mind, is Fabrizio, who has consistently shown up on the podium in the past few years at miller. This is definitely one of his strongest tracks, and with the Ducati 3 kg's lighter, big things are possible for this Ducati Rider.

The sole American rider, who's had a relatively dismal season with Team Pedercini, will be mounting his Kawasaki in hopes of finding that elusive top 10, or podium spot. In previous years, Jamie Hacking was able to reach 7th on the Kawasaki, so we'll be crossing our fingers for Roger this weekend.

Please be sure to note, practice starts Saturday, with qualifying on Sunday, and racing on Monday (memorial day).
