Race 1
Carlos Checa was on fire this weekend, unfortunately disproving Ducati's claim that their bikes are uncompetitive. Although the race was relatively uneventful, Noriyuki Haga stole the show by working his way up to third from 14th. This mildly uneventful race was packed with Ducati's leading the charge, and filling all podium spots. Smrz had a great showing on the Aprilia, finally, finishing in 4th. Notably, Roger Lee Hayden DNF'd with a mechanical error, as well as James Toseland.

Race 2
Carlos Checa again was unstoppable. He beat haga by over 2 seconds, and held Crutchlow back to third. Tom Sykes had a great finish for a struggling Kawasaki, just outside of the podium in 4th. Leon Haslam dropped out of the race nearly half way through, handing the championship to Max Biaggi. James Toeseland capped off a uncharacteristically bad season with a crash for race 2.

Yamaha's Cal Crutchlow rebounded from a 10th-place result in Race 1 to finish third in the second contest.
